Upcoming Events

TSS holds a variety of networking, idea sharing and learning forums which contribute to both:

Supporting our sustainability leaders within the built environment community, and

Engaging with the wider built environment practitioner network to highlight sustainability issues and build the capacities to respond

Our priority is working in collaboration with other aligned networks and organisations in order to create the ‘joined-up’ thinking that is required for the future.

Conference: Shaping our Low Emissions Future

TSS are partnering with EMANZ on their annual conference this year to address the complex challenges facing us in shaping a low emissions future. This conference is focussed on the practicalities of making the shift happen and will draw on the experiences of our collective member networks and a fantastic array of speakers.

With TSS members being offered the same discounted conference rate as EMANZ members, this is a great opportunity to foster this crucial conversation across disciplines and networks.

Workshop: Foundations of Sustainability

More 2019 dates coming soon

This one-day workshop will introduce some of the foundational aspects of sustainability in the built environment.

It is targeted to engineers who are in the initial stages of their career or for those who have recognised they need to have a broader and more current understanding of sustainability within their professional practice. Although this workshop is oriented towards engineers it is also relevant for planners, urban designers, architects and other built environment practitioners.

This workshop is hosted by TSS in partnership with Engineering NZ and it is our intention that it be offered on an annual basis in different centres around New Zealand.
